Pivot Point had recently gone through a brand refresh. With it came new fonts, colors and fashion photography.

​Under the direction of the Art Director and Marketing Director, I designed the annual Education Catalog used to recruit new students. for the Salon school and the new Barbering program. ​

Throughout the Education Catalog, I wanted to focus on cuts, angles and color. The new photography showed beautiful hairstyling with newly hired models. I wanted the placement of photography to be big, bold and to cut off certain parts of the image to bring unique focus and angles of the model's hairstyles and body poses. Many pages include angle cuts and highlights the hot pink color of the new branding.
Knowing the journey many of our students take to get to a university, specifically to find themselves at NEIU, and using the descriptors of the 3 personality traits, we came up with “Break Barriers.” The messaging highlights the ongoing work and dedication to reach a goal (or maybe not reach it), but at least be involved in a tireless journey of pursuit.

The messaging can also speak to the friendly, supportive and compassionate to impact the world in positive ways and be part of something bigger. Which leads into the many ways our students can make these impacts, through creative approach, multicultural surrounding and originality. Some may “Break Barriers” by attending college, and others may break them when they leave.
